Portable Moon

Growing in the suburbs of New Jersey, I would look up into the sky and see the stars and moon glistening in the dark sky. I grew up mesmerized by such a beauty. I can’t do the same here in Chicago. Referencing a study done by researcher, Harald Stark at the University of Colorado, Chicago is the city with the highest amount of light pollution in the world. It is nearly impossible to see the moon or stars if you are in the heart of the city. Since I can’t see such a beauty, I brought the outside to the inside. This installation served as an escape from the business of Neocon.
